Sheldon College has a proud history of achievement in Athletics, through both Cross Country and Track & Field, with an incredible number of our students going on to represent Bayside District, the Metropolitan East Region, Queensland and even Australia.
This program has been further turbo-charged of late, with the addition of our synthetic track coinciding with our strongest ever results at a national level and the enrolment of additional student athletes to the College. Supporting our record of achievement is a comprehensive training program, catering to Sheldon College students in Years 2 to 12, at all levels of ability. Furthermore, Sheldon College targets particular school and club events to offer coach-supported competition experience to as many student athletes as possible.
Our Head Athletics Coach is Mr Ben Norton. Ben is a highly qualified Queensland Academy of Sport network coach who gained selection as distance running coach and athletics team leader for Athletics Australia at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
