providing unrivalled opportunities enabling

students to reach their full sporting potential

Following sustained growth and success in sport, and in line with significant infrastructure investments made in College sporting facilities, the Sheldon Academy of Sport (SAS) was launched in 2017.

The Sheldon Academy of Sport brings together the College’s professionally coached sports of Athletics (Cross Country and Track & Field), Swimming (Learn to Swim and Squads) and Tennis, with in-house expert Strength & Conditioning support.

The incredible facilities available to the Academy include our world-class synthetic athletics track, six court LED floodlit tennis centre, heated main swimming pool with grandstand, enclosed commercial learn to swim facility, a cross country running course and the Sheldon College Fitness Centre - our modern, spacious, well-equipped gymnasium.

With the goal of providing unrivalled opportunities to enable students to reach their full sporting potential within the safe and supportive Sheldon College environment, the Sheldon Academy of Sport features a wonderfully talented and supportive team of highly regarded professional coaches, offering programs to beginners right through to those competing on the world stage.

“Sheldon Academy of Sport athletes regularly experience success at a national level, with some even going on to represent Australia at events such as the Youth Olympic Games and World Schools Cross Country Championships.”
