Lifelong connections

The aim of the Sheldon College Alumni is to provide graduates of Sheldon College with the opportunity to stay connected, by increasing the depth of engagement between members of the College community.

Sheldon College Alumni is run by an Advisory Board of past students, using personal and meaningful connections to strengthen the relationship between the Alumni and College community by growing opportunities that are mutually beneficial. Sheldon College Alumni holds various events throughout the year for graduates and provides an interface to keep you up to date with Alumni news, as well as College news and events.

The Sheldon College

Alumni Advisory Board (AAB)

The AAB is made up of alumni who are enthusiastic about fostering and maintaining connections between the College and its graduates, and developing a successful and cohesive alumni community. Hear from the AAB board members below.

MS LAUREN COSSETTINI CHAIR OF THE AAB

Lauren is one of the first Alumnae to return to the College in a teaching capacity, as current Drama Teacher and Head of Year 8. Here she opens up about her desire to get involved in the AAB, her ambitions to grow the board further and how being a Sheldon Alumna herself has driven her.

MR JOSHUA MCHUGH DEPUTY CHAIR OF THE AAB

Joshua, current Health and Physical Education teacher at Sheldon College, joined the AAB this year to assist with promoting the Board’s objectives to the wider College community. He is passionate about keeping students connected after they graduate, forming solid relationships and building lasting friendships.

Founding Director of Sheldon College, Bob Bishop explains the instrumental role he played in setting up the Sheldon College Alumni Advisory Board. He excitedly shares insight into the entrepreneurial vision he has for the AAB and plans for its future growth by enhancing and positioning the brand both locally and internationally.

MS DANIELLE COPPLIN AAB BOARD MEMBER

Danielle joined the AAB in 2016, initially as a networking opportunity for her newly formed business. She is proud of how she has flourished during her time and involvement within the AAB and attributes her growth to being surrounded by other like-minded and welcoming members. She aims to continue to build a strong, positive and supportive community for Alumni.

MS ELLIE LAWSON AAB BOARD MEMBER

Ellie loves the culture and sense of community she experiences as an Alumna of Sheldon College and this drove her to join the Alumni Advisory Board this year. She enjoys working collaboratively, expressing her views, sharing her ideas and thinking of innovative strategies to raise awareness for the AAB.

MS BROOKE ARMSTRONG AAB BOARD MEMBER

Brooke recently joined the AAB and is a Sheldon College origin student who graduated in 2017. She is passionate about utilising her expertise in Event Management, through assisting with the organisation and planning of Alumni reunions.
