PROMOTING LIFELONG LEARNING

BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

The Academic Enrichment component of the Co-Curricular Program is designed to offer opportunities that enhance and develop students academically, cognitively and socially, beyond the four walls of the classroom.

These programs can be considered as an extension to what we provide in our classrooms on a daily basis. Students are welcome to take advantage of the variety of programs we have on offer to either accelerate themselves in a curriculum sense, or to experience and challenge themselves cognitively in a new and dynamic way.

We strongly believe in the need for consolidated learning opportunities and, as such, offer a variety of Tutorials and Enrichment Programs across a range of subjects and activities, spanning over many days of the week.”

The co-curricular academic enrichment clubs and special interest groups focus on progressing the skills and dispositions of 21st Century Learning. They provide opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurialism, as well as promoting globally responsible lifelong learners. Coupled with this are the skills which underpin all Queensland Senior Syllabuses: critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration and teamwork, personal and social skills and ICT skills.
