The Highest Standards

with respect to individual scholarship and work habits

"Sheldon College is proud to boast a strong and long-standing academic reputation."

Mr Jarrod Pleass - Director of Academics Secondary

Academic Staff at Sheldon College are united and committed in their approach to afford every student the opportunity to achieve individual academic excellence. Fundamental to each teacher’s practice is the knowledge that all students have the capacity for high achievement and success.

Each member of Sheldon College is a learner; whether they are part of our Academic Staff or the student body. At the school level, research-validated studies tell us unequivocally, that the most important contributor to improved student achievement is the effectiveness of the teacher. Our students share both the right to, and the privilege of, having teachers who are considered to be experts in their respective fields; who possess the drive and energy to continuously refine their instructional strategies and practices; and who demand nothing but the best from their students.

Sheldon College maintains the highest standards with respect to individual scholarship and work habits. Therefore our students remain poised to take advantage of the many opportunities that will present themselves on their life’s journey.
