Sheldon College received the Most Outstanding School Award at the 2018 Queensland Tennis Awards held last weekend at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Australian Tennis legend and sports broadcaster, Todd Woodbridge OAM and Shadow Minister for Sport, John-Paul Langbroek presented the award to David Savage, Director of the Sheldon College’s Academy of Sport and Jake Alchin, Head Tennis Coach.

“This award is great recognition for everyone involved in Sheldon’s Academy of Sport Tennis, from our young beginners and talented juniors right through to our coaching and administration staff.  If this is the sort of outcome we can achieve after just two short years of operation, we can’t wait to see our players and program progress even further over the years ahead.” – David Savage, Director, Sheldon Academy of Sport.

The Sheldon Academy of Sport brings together the College’s professionally coached sports of Triathlon (including our Triathlon Development Academy, operated in partnership with Triathlon Australia), Swimming (both Learn to Swim and Squads), Athletics (Cross Country and Track & Field) and Tennis.
