Over the course of this week, Year 11 Dance students have been more than fortunate to partake in a three-day workshop run by the incredibly talented Jack Chambers, member of the RAW Dance Company.

Jack has proven many a time that he is an exceptional performer and choreographer who has a creative way of teaching and presenting choreography to help students achieve their best.

Sheldon College Dance Teacher, Mrs Jessica Ziebell, is delighted to have Jack at the College to expose students to a range of dance genres and styles that enhance performance and choreography skills throughout this three-day workshop.

“Jack is a fantastic role model for both male and female dancers,” said Mrs Ziebell.

“Since the beginning of these workshops, I have already seen students engage with new and challenging repertoire that has and will continue to help them extend on their current skillsets and build individual confidence and creativity.”

“I have even noticed that the students who are new to the subject are already gaining more confidence,” she added.

Well known in the performance world, Jack won the first season of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Australia back in 2008. He also played Link Larkin in the leading Australian tour of Hairspray the Broadway Musical, Cosmo in Singing in the Rain and he most recently finished touring with Hugh Jackman in his ‘The Man. The Music. The Show’ tour.

The College is extremely fortunate to have relationships such as this one with many talented professionals who are able to enhance the learning opportunities provided to each of the students.
