Saturday 10 September saw Sheldon College’s oval transformed into a massive camping ground for Fathers and students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Over 800 brave souls battled rain and winds on Saturday to participate in sports, swimming and a huge obstacle course.

This year saw a Dad’s Committee created with 16 Dads coming together to organise the campout. Special mention to IGA Thornlands and Mount Cotton for their sponsorship of the event. Thank you also to the small businesses for their donations of prizes and marques.  Special thanks to Ray White - Redland Bay, Cobb’s Popcorn, Pure Gold Pineapple and ARB.

This year the Dad’s Committee and the students of Sheldon College have sponsored a young girl named ‘Melsa’ to give her the opportunity to have an education at the Sunrise School of Africa in Kenya.
