Sheldon College once again held our Community Carols Tour this week with our focus being on delivering cheer and bringing joy to many at this time of year. Selected band members, alumni and singers from Years 10 to 11 presented a series of Carols Concerts at various hospitals and aged care facilities across South East Queensland.

Concerts were performed for patients, visiting family members and staff at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and Royal Brisbane Hospital. The Tour also performed at a number of Senior facilities throughout the Redlands including Aveo Freedom Aged Care, Wellington Manor, Seaton Place Aged Care and Redlands Residential Care. The carols were enjoyed by many, with the students receiving warm welcomes from all in attendance and requests to return again next year.

“We are honoured to hear that we have had such a positive impact on all attendees and that Sheldon College students have lightened the day and brought joy into the lives of many. The Annual Christmas Carols Tour is one of our favourite community engagement experiences of the year” stated Dr Lyn Bishop.

Merry Christmas to all families, visitors, staff and new friends we have made throughout the tour. We hope you have a very happy and safe festive season.
