Congratulations are in order for the Years 4 and 5 students who represented Sheldon College at the Regional Robotics Competition (RoboCup) held on Saturday 20 July at Sommerville House, South Brisbane. Out of the twenty teams competing, from the top nine Robotic Schools in Brisbane, our talented team successfully placed 2nd.

 A special thank-you is to be extended to the Robotics teams coach, Mr John Board, who has been responsible for coaching this year’s second place winners.  “The dedication and camaraderie from the Sheldon College students was inspiring. They have worked hard in the lead up to the competition and this has contributed to their placing. I am really looking forward to working with these teams as they prepare for the RoboCup State Championships,” stated Mr Board.

 The College will be sending another seven teams to the RoboCup State Championships in August this year. These teams will comprise of students from Year 4 to Year 10.

 The College extends a sincere congratulations to the following students for their hard work and dedication in the lead up to and during the Regional Robotics Competition;

 In addition to the College’s extensive co-curricular programs and opportunities, students are also able and encouraged to take part in a wide range of technology-based competitions and programs.
