Home / News & Events / A Symphonic Celebration for Lehan Ling
Held at the ABC Studios in Southbank on Monday 4 March, Lehan performed two movements from Paul Creston’s Concertino for Marimba in a public recital featuring six virtuoso finalists. The judging panel featured various personnel from QSO including Concertmaster Mr Warwick Adeney and Principal Oboe, Mr Huw Jones.
Fifty-one exceptional student musicians from across Queensland, including five other Sheldon College students, auditioned to take part in this competition. Only six, including Lehan, were selected to perform in the finals.
You can hear Lehan perform as part of the College Musical ‘Hairspray’ in May.
Congratulations, Lehan, on this incredible achievement. Congratulations also to Richard Bahrett, Scott Chamberlain, Bence Major and Alice Wilson who achieved a high enough standard in their music studies to be eligible to audition.
