QUT Chinese Speaking Competition

Sheldon College entered its first Chinese Speaking Competition, which was held on Saturday 27 May at Queensland University of Technology (Kelvin Grove). This highly regarded competition attracted students from as far as Hervey Bay and Townsville to compete.

Congratulations to Michelle Huang (Year 7) who impressed the judges with her fluency and clarity, proudly bringing home the 3rd prize in the Years 7-8 *Background Speakers section, the largest category in the competition.

Well done too to the following students for their excellent efforts in extending themselves by writing their own speeches, and devoting a huge amount of time and energy in preparation for this prestigious annual competition. They have done themselves, their parents and Sheldon College proud with their determination and excellent individual scholarship!
