Competing for Australia in the Under 18, 2000m Steeplechase at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Fiji last month, Sheldon College Year 12 student, Will Morris, claimed Gold and set a new Championship record, taking more than 13 seconds off the previous mark.

Coach Ben Norton, who oversees the highly successful Sheldon Academy of Sport Athletics program based at Sheldon College’s world class synthetic track, was ecstatic to see Will’s hard work in training pay off in such spectacular fashion.  Morris, who lives in Redland Bay, also claimed Bronze in the 1500m event at the same meet.
