Welcome to Fresco - Friends of Sheldon College

Friends of Sheldon College is a committee working under the Sheldon College Foundation. It was formed in 1998 by Ms Helene Kempe in the role of FRESCO Chairperson and a committee, to introduce ways to assist the broader College Community to interact with and support one another by participating in networking activities. Their initial roles were to create the identity of FRESCO. This included the establishment of the FRESCO logo and the role of the group in relation to the Sheldon College Foundation. The name FRESCO was developed as an acronym for Friends of Sheldon College, and remains as true today to the ethos for which it was originally created in 1998.

Today’s FRESCO is a communications meeting point, a friend-raising and networking area of the College, dedicated to bringing families closer together and to continuing the legacy left for us by the forward-thinking committee of 1998.

FRESCO’s activities have included Networking Functions and the design of supporters’ merchandise. The most popular by far of the FRESCO activities is the FRESCO Directory. The Committee members of today are responsible for the publishing of the FRESCO Directory. New Committee members and ideas are always welcome and learn to use a wide variety of administrative, creative and marketing skills through the projects they complete.

The production of the Directory is also possible through the very generous support received from our Advertisers. We would like to thank them all and encourage you to allow them the opportunity to provide quotes when you are next looking to make a purchase or require services that our Advertisers offer.

Please let our Advertisers know you found them in the Directory – it reassures them that their advertisement is worthwhile. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of special offers the Advertisers may have available exclusively for our families.

We are very pleased to be able to distribute the Directory free-of-charge to College families to help them make new friends and to keep in touch with one another.
